The City of St. Petersburg Police Training Facility is approximately 18,000 SF and includes a 50‐yard interior firing range with 10-lanes, an open configuration for tactical exercises, a simulator room, three teaching classrooms, tactical vehicle garage, ammunition storage facilities, training offices, and an armor’s workshop.

The project is a conversion of an existing 7,000 SF 25‐yard firing range with an 11,000 SF addition. The Center is located in a public park comprising baseball and softball fields and the exterior concrete walls of the new range have a larger than life baseball themed relief mural to enhance the park setting.

The project has achieved USGBC LEED Silver Certification. Sustainable features include solar power, optimized energy performance, enhanced commissioning, low-emitting materials, rainwater management and sensitive land protection to name a few.
