DESCRIPTION

This adaptive reuse project brought new life into a 1970s mid-century office tower, transforming the 20-story structure into Elev8 Downtown, a premier 372-unit luxury residential community in Houston's Skyline District. Capitalizing on the tower’s deep, rectangular footprint, the design team cleverly repurposed windowless interior cores into high-end resident storage, co-working spaces, and secondary bedrooms, while wrapping the perimeter in light-filled, modern residences. The architectural program integrates specialized multi-level configurations, including street-facing two-story townhouses on the lower levels, select third-floor units with expansive private patio terraces, and integrated an indoor pool into the lower-level amenities, along with other elements like a large club room and fitness spaces.
